The Mio A201 has been designed from the ground up as a navigation device. Specifically, the new rotating GPS antenna allows users to navigate with the A201 in portrait (standard for PDAs) and in landscape (standard for dedicated navigation systems) positions.

This PDA is sold without any bundled mapping software which allows total flexibility in selecting appropriate software for your particular application. 

With the next generation GPS chipset, SiRF Star III, and the latest Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system from Microsoft, the A201 offers greatly improved better satellite reception in addition to all the work and entertainment features typically found on PDAs. The addition of Bluetooth brings improved connectivity options, and the replaceable 1250 MAh battery gives the device enough power for hours of navigation, watching videos or playing music.

The Mio A201 uses a TFT LCD screen, providing benefits-such as clear visibility in strong light, high brightness and contrast, superior clarity, and exceptionally crisp image quality-that traditional STN or other 4096-color low-end color displays cannot hope to match.
