"G1 Jockey 3" is the jockey experience game which rides many races by a player serving as jockey. More real horse-riding of colorful action in a race scene, individualization of a horse, etc. is realized. Furthermore, introduction of "the follow end" of a weekday, fullness of an obstacle race and an overseas race, and a real name rider and a real name horse also appear, and it has become the contents of conviction also at the horse race fan. True GI jockey to whom a racehorse aims at a victory for breathing to one with a rider is aimed at. |

Great game with excellent depth. One improvement would be the ability to bet on which horse you think will win each race on the card, not just the race your in, obviously you would back yourself. I found the easiest stable to start with was one of the dunhill trio as you get more offers and there are multiple horses of high quality my top five horse being
1. Hawk Swing (maiden) available midway through the first year. Is dunhill's selct so pick it. I believe it is the best horse on the game.
2.Change Road (maiden) available same time as Hawk Swing. I won multiple g2 & g3 races as well as horse of the year twice in Hard difficulty, as a 3yo and 5yo.
3.Long Fact (jumper) my pick of the jumpers one many g1 chase races in hard difficulty
4.Swift is a Fox, Promising harse and well balanced.
5. Scratch Diva, When well riden I think this harse has the ability to be second only to Hawk Swing.
Other horses to look for are Jazz Strawberry (goldberg stables) and Disco my Anthem.
The game has some of the excellent graphics sports with great detail taken on horse and jockey life-likeness and no slow down effect.
The story line is well thought out and changing as well as posing stiff competition for all but the most seasoned g1 fans.
I would, however, like to see a game covering Australia's racing seen.
Overall, I recommend this game and was very impressed with Koei's effort in bringing the excitment of the racing game to the ps2.
